According to Dutch labor law, employees are allowed to work up to 48 hours per week on average, calculated over a rolling 6-month period. While this plan is based on a typical 6-day work week (8 × 6 = 48 hours), employees may work across 7 days if desired — as long as the 6-month average does not exceed 48 hours per week.
Below is a structured plan to help you understand the earning potential of this opportunity. It is intended for reference purposes only, and actual earnings may vary depending on shift choices and employer scheduling.
Optional 4 hours, paid at base rate (no bonus applied, to keep projections conservative).
Note:
Hours worked between 6:00–7:00 AM or 8:00–10:00 PM typically qualify for a 38% bonus.
Hours from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM often qualify for a 44% bonus.
However, to remain conservative and consistent, these are not considered under extra pay — though in practice, this could make a difference of up to €1,200 annually.
Schedule: 8-hour shift
(If you’ve already completed 4 hours on Friday and reached 40 hours over 5 days, you're eligible to work 8 more hours within the weekly legal limit. This remaining time can be scheduled on either Saturday or Sunday.)
Pay Structure:
First 4 hours @ base hourly rate (if shift starts at 8:00 AM, these fall under standard pay)
Next 4 hours @ 38% bonus (extra pay begins from 12:00 PM)
If shift starts at 8:00 AM, only second half qualifies.
If shift starts at 12:00 PM or later, full 8 hours may qualify.
(We calculate only 4 bonus hours here to remain conservative. Night hours are not included though they may apply.)
Schedule: Full 8-hour shift
Pay Structure:
All 8 hours @ 60% bonus
Bonuses apply only to qualifying hours based on timing.
